Our Love Story
Some love stories are quietly written by fate long before two hearts even realize it.
Our story first began in December 2024 during a Christmas Party at Shearwater Health, where two strangers unknowingly crossed paths. A year later, just before the same Christmas celebration in December 2025, destiny brought us together once again this time, never to part.
On December 14, 2025, beneath softly falling snowflakes, Omar and Des shared their very first date at St. Joseph Cathedral. What felt like love at first sight soon became something even more magical. During the mass, the priest searched among the crowd for a couple to light the Candle of Joy and from all the people gathered there, he chose us.
Hand in hand, we walked down the aisle together and lit the candle before the altar, a moment that touched our hearts deeply and felt like a sign from heaven itself a reminder that we were meant to become each other’s light through every season of life.
On Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2026, Omar asked Des to spend forever together. And on March 14, 2026, two souls became one joined by faith, love, acceptance, and a promise to choose each other every single day.

Our Upcoming Baby
As our love story continues to unfold, God has blessed us with another beautiful miracle our baby boy, Lior Zayne, whom we are joyfully expecting on October 6, 2026.
His name carries the very heart of our story. Inspired by the Candle of Joy we lit together on our first date, “Lior” means “Light,” while “Zayne” means “Joy.”
Before finding each other, our lives often felt lonely and incomplete, but love found its way to us and filled our hearts with warmth, hope, and happiness just like the gentle glow of that candle we lit together at the altar.
Now, through our son, that light and joy will continue to shine even brighter in our lives. Lior Zayne is not only a blessing to our marriage, but also a beautiful reminder that God writes the most wonderful stories at the perfect time.
With grateful hearts and endless love, we are excited to embrace this new chapter as parents, raising our child with faith, love, and God’s guidance every step of the way.
